Good afternoon,

As a Bloomingdale resident, I wanted to both invite and request that the Bloomingdale neighborhood blog post/share content with its network about a free art show I have organized for this Saturday, (Sept 1) from 7pm-9pm at La Pop, 1847 Columbia Road NW in Adams Morgan. 

The show will feature Essa Neima's paintings; Essa is from Syria but has lived in DC for the past eight or so years. He has an amazing story which you can learn about here https://www.facebook.com/lapopdc/videos/1469622433182002/

We have organized the show in advance of the free Syria Festival, which will take place this Sunday. Please join us in this celebration of Syrian culture; it is our chance to push back against the negative narratives against Syrians which stem from hate and ignorance.
