? interested in a "Hate Has No Home Here" sign for your yard ?

See this 11-30-2018 message:

Neighbors:

You might have noticed "Hate Has No Home Here" signs popping up in neighbors' yards (you can see what they look like here). Already, 40 Bloomingdale residences have the signs, and we are hoping more neighbors will join us in sending a clear message that this community is a place of kindness and acceptance, not hateful rhetoric. If you want a sign, please fill out this Google form. Any donations you make will go to producing the signs themselves. If you have questions, email dorie.turner@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Hi neighbors,

For those of you wanting a picture with Santa but not wanting to leave DC
(or the neighborhood, haha), Santa will be at Boundary Stone twice in
December.

The first appearance will be at the Stone's annual Toy Drive
<https://www.facebook.com/events/2218437188437705/> (which is a great event collecting toys for kids in the neighborhood and totally worth going to even if you're anti-Santa!) on Thursday, December 13th.

The second appearance will be Brunch with Santa
<https://www.facebook.com/events/305264926751988/>on Sunday the 16th.

This professional Santa shaved his head at the Stone's St. Baldrick's
fundraiser in March 2018 and has set a goal of $10k for March 2019. As
such, he's doing photos for donations to raise money for kids' cancer
research. You can find his fundraising profile here

Happy Holidays! =o

Giving philanthropically can be overwhelming — there are worthy causes all around us. Where to start?

“There are many nonprofits doing good work and it can be difficult to determine which one to donate to,” says Bob Wittig, executive director of the Catalogue for Philanthropy, a local agency that helps non-profits increase their visibility, raise funds and provides professional development at no cost to the partners.

For donors, the Catalogue (founded in 2003) helps vet and select the region’s best nonprofits each year.
