  • 10 Florida Ave. NW: Brick Lane Real Estate will renovate this Truxton Circle strip inside and out to accommodate 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail topped with nine luxury apartments. Work will include facade repairs, a new storefront, new windows and doors, a new roof deck and a green roof. Residential construction will involve new partitions, plumbing, light fixtures, appliances and finishes. Brick Lane acquired the property — which includes 8, 10 and 12 Florida Ave. NW and 1542 North Capitol St. NW — in September 2014 for $1.4 million. Work is expected to begin in early January and take less than a year. The building will be branded The Truxton, said Erik Kudla, a Brick Lane co-founder.
  • 50 Florida Ave. NE: Construction of a nine-story mixed-use building consisting of 182 residential units, retail and three levels of underground parking. Bush Construction is the developer.
  • 19 Seaton Place NW: This single-family home will get a third-floor addition and renovations throughout as it is converted to a two-family flat.
  • 143 Quincy Place NE: Another conversion to a flat, with the addition of a new third floor, a rooftop deck, spiral staircase, patio and parking pads.
