Regarding the Walking History Tour of McMillan Park
this Saturday, October 28th:
The tour will showcase
McMillan Park, its unique history, its vistas and connection to
Bloomingdale/the surrounding neighborhoods. The walk will include
information and bonus highlights about Bloomingdale - with a focus on
segregation, the landmark SCOTUS ruling that overturned racial covenants in
real estate contracts and environmental racism.
The tour will last approximately 1
1/2 - 2 hours and will start at the park in front of Big Bear Café
(located at the corner of 1st St and R St NW on Saturday, October 28th, at 9am
(rain date: Sunday, October 29th, at 9am).

It is fairly deceptive to simply state that Friends of McMillan Park is trying to "save" the landmark, and to donate to that cause.
How, pray tell, is it deceptive to say FoM is trying to save this registered national historic landmark?
