Subject: Terrell Film "Dignity and Defiance" on WHUT Tonight

Greetings, Neighbors,

A film showcasing the life and legacy of Mary Church Terrell entitled "Dignity and Defiance" by Robin Hamilton was aired last evening on WHUT and will be aired again on WHUT:

June 14th (tonight) at 11:30 pm
June 29th at 9:30 pm
June 30th at 1:30 am

The University was also fortunate enough to be awarded a $500k grant from the U.S. Department of the Interior to be used in the restoration and renovation of the Mary Church Terrell House (326 "T" Street, N.W.) and the Walter Washington Home (408-410 "T" Street, N.W.).

The architect who will be responsible for the restoration has been selected, negotiations have been completed and the contract has been submitted for legal review. Once that review is complete, work should begin shortly thereafter.

Keeping hope alive for progress,
