Subject: Penne with Toms, Basil & Tahini: BFM Sunday

Hi BFM Fans!

We are open rain or shine Sunday--

Tomatoes.  Now that we are in tomato season, the question is: how best to store them. I have always belonged to the never refrigerate tomatoes team but lots of people researching this say that perfectly ripe tomatoes -- the ones that smell tomatoey and are soft and ready to eat can go into the fridge for a day or so without harm.   So keep them on a counter at room temperature until they are really really ripe and by then, you may not have eaten them all up. Read here and here.
