Hello everyone,

Home stretch!!!  Attached above is the final draft for the MAG CBA document.  Although by no means perfect, I think we can be proud that a 100% volunteer effort was able to pull together a document with significant community input, with accountability structures in place, and within the time frame under which we were forced to work.  Mat has put together a table summary that he will attach to the document (Attachment 2) -- thanks Mat!!!!

Please take a look for final edits and send feedback to me by noon Tuesday, April 29th.  Tomorrow afternoon, we will formally submit it to Zoning as we discussed.

Best to all for your input and efforts!

Chris

P.S.  Again, please forward as you see fit.  Mat will post on the MAG website as well.

Hello everyone,

Attached is the latest draft of the MAG CBA doc as well as the beginnings of a summary table (thanks Bertha!!!!) for the key elements.  It's coming along but still could use a fair bit of work before we formally submit it to Zoning as discussed.  Here is what I suggest...

If you have item specific comments, please edit (using tracked changes) and send back to me by Sunday evening.  If you are willing to assist in general review, please let me know.  I could really use some help (and special thanks to those that have helped with this!!!!) and can assign you specific and focused tasks.

All for now,

Chris

P.S.  I have no idea if the folks on this email chain are all the ones that might be interested.  Please feel free to forward and Mat has been uploading drafts on the MAG webpage as well for reference.

Hello everyone,

Attached is the most recent updated MAG CBA draft.  I have incorporated the edits/comments I have recently received (thank you!).  In terms of MAG civic assn. input, I now have heard from all the groups except for Park View and Park Place.  There are still some areas to flush out but its coming along!

Before tomorrow, send any other thoughts/comments.  In the meantime, I will try to group together like items (e.g., tree plantings for different neighborhoods, etc) to make it easier to see and compare.  Will also try to group those items related as options (parking) for clarity.
See you tomorrow evening,

Chris

P.S. Devi, can you send out the reminder to the group for day/time/location, etc?  Thanks!

Good morning everyone,

I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend.  As a reminder, please sent me your edits by this evening (Monday).  In terms of MAG civic assn. input, I still have not heard from Eckington, LeDroit Park, Park Place, Park View, and Pleasant Plains.

Cheers,

Chris

Hello everyone,

Another great meeting last night!  Thanks again for everyone that continues to provide input, thought, and ideas into this project!!!

Attached above you will find a cleaned up version of our latest CBA draft.  There are a number of comments identifying people and/or topics that need to be addressed.  I have reworked the CBA Governance, Accountability, and Funding section to 1) address some folks input and concerns and 2) simply/combine like or related ideas.  Please keep the input coming using tracked changes of course : )

For our meeting next Thursday, April 24 at St. George's Church at 7PM, we have the following goals:
1.  Please continue to edit and complete your assignments, sending the tracked edited doc back to me by the evening of Monday, April 21.  I will compile all of the comments into the "master" draft doc and send out to the group on Tuesday.  This will give you two full days to read, digest, make notes, and come to the meeting on Thursday ready to go!
2.  I will continue to reach out to the national CBA groups that have already been contacted to have them look over our draft and provide input.
3.  For Thurs' discussion, we need to focus on three aspects of the CBA listed items:  1) proposed cost (adding $ for those that are not yet described), 2) proposed timeline for item completion (e.g., before PUD approval, before Phase 2, etc), and 3) a sense of priority (e.g., how important is one item compared with others).
4.  For community outreach, Mat will continue to put postings/drafts/civic assn. input up on the MAG website.  For those that posting to various blogs, etc, please do so with the inclusion that this is still a DRAFT document and that input is encouraged.

Best to all for now,

Chris

Hello everyone,

Attached is the latest draft of the MAG CBA document.   Thanks to everyone who sent in comments/suggestions!  Tonight, we will start up where we left off last week (Parking) and continue to work our way through.

FYI, I have not yet received input from the following MAG groups:  Eckington, Park Place, Park View, Pleasant Plains, and LeDroit Park.

See you tonight!
