Crispus Attucks Park policy on events

Crispus Attucks Park Policy on Events
             
                        
Given the weather is warming up we just wanted to reiterate the Crispus Attucks Park policy on holding events.  If the event will have over twenty people, the Board requires that the planner fill out an event use form.

It is important to note that while we can approve or disapprove large events, the Board can never guarantee absolute exclusive use of the park since it is unfenced and in the middle of the city.  That said, the process is really important for the purpose of deconfliction since we would not want two large groups showing up on the same day for a really important event!  For example, we've even had a few requests for weddings this year. 
               
         
So, if you would like to have an event in the park with over 20 people, please go to our website and fill out the park use form and we'll get back to you.  We also strongly encourage people to familiarize themselves with Park rules: http://crispusattucksparkdc.org/park-rules/ and of course, how to make donations!
