Last night (Thursday, June 9) our car was broken into and rifled through. Although there wasn't anything of particular value in the car, the thief/thieves did take a portable Bluetooth speaker and left the glove compartment strewn throughout the car. The car was parked in our driveway in the alley behind 133 Adams St NW. Although it's common sense to make sure you leave nothing visible in your car, let our misfortune be a warning that even parked in a driveway under a streetlight in an alley does not allow for complacency.
