Subject: Join the Farmers Market Brigade for Produce Plus

HI 14&U Fans and BFM fans:

Produce Plus kicks off its season at farmers markets across the city today and Saturday at 14&U FM and Sunday at BFM.  We are two of the founding markets and among the largest Produce Plus Markets in the City.

This program, funded by the DC Department of Health and administered by DC Greens, provides eligible DC residents $10 in Produce Plus checks at the participating farmers markets, up to two times a week.  

The checks may be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables and herbs.  Any shoppers receiving federal nutrition benefits, Medicaid, Medicare QMB and SSI Disability are eligible.
