Subject: In Loving Memory of Leroy Joseph
The Bloomingdale community has lost an essential, kind and
giving person in the name of Leroy William Joseph of the 2000 block of First
Street on November 27th. He has been moving around our neighborhood for at
least two decades doing needed yardwork, moving large items with his pickup,
being a personal watch for his neighbors' homes, jumping dead batteries and any
number of thankless tasks so that we could run our century-old homes and get
thru our days with both confidence and relief. HE WAS A GEM and I will miss him
for years to come.
His memorial will be held this Sunday at the Upon This Rock
Tabernacle at 513 M Street NE at the corner of New York Avenue at 10:00 AM,
Dec. 16th.
