resident of a rowhouse on the 2400 block of 1st St NW: items on wall fallen down and broken; 1st St NW work the cause?

See this message from a resident on the 2400 block of 1st Street NW in Bloomingdale: 

Damage done to wall hangings from 1st street work

Have you hear about any other complaints about the work being done on 1st street were the wall shakes and things that are hanging fall down?  I have attached a picture of two items that had that are now broken.
