Subject: Notice/ Adams Street Micro-Tunneling operation tonight (4/4/2016)
To All,
Our Contractor,
Skanska-Jay Dee ( SKJD) has resumed mining the adit connection to the First
Street Tunnel under Adams Street. SKJD will cease mining operations for the day
on/near 8PM. However, within the construction staging area SKJD will need
to continue to operate a machinery until about midnight. The centrifuge
is a large machine with a rapidly rotating container. It is used to
separate fluids, in this case separating drilling fluids from the settling clay
particles. The drilling fluid is reused. The machine will need to
continue to operating until about midnight. The operation generates a constant
humming sound. Hopefully, with the weather conditions tonight, it will
not be as much of a problem. Mining will resume tomorrow morning.
SKJD is in the
process of notifying abutters about the centrifuge operating late. As always,
if you have questions or concerns please call the 24/7 FST Hotline at (844)
FST-INFO/ (844) 378-4636.
Thank you for
your understanding.
Sincere
Regards, Tom
