A neighbor needs help. This should be a great way for dog owners to assist a long-time resident. Please edit this for best results and run more than once.
Let us please use the strength and idealism of our youth
to support our aged friends.
Ms. Dee Brown of 15 Quincy Pl. NW needs help with
dog-walking. The dog's original owner,
Mr. Jimmy Brown passed away last year, and Mrs. Brown is already quite busy
caring for her great-granddaughter, who is confined to a wheelchair. Mrs. Brown also copes with diabetes and
cataracts, and walking a dog is something she can't do at the moment.
Smoky is a friendly dog, and a loved member of the
household. If neighborhood dog-walkers
can stop by and help out the family, that would be welcome. I hate the idea of
Bloomingdale becoming so gentrified that long-time residents can't be cared
for. Any dog-walkers who can add an
extra friend either mornings or afternoons would be so welcome!! She (Dee) has a leash for Smoky.
Gentrification should include taking care of our older,
more vulnerable residents.

Hi,
I live around the corner on North Capitol from Ms. Brown and would be more than willing to help out with Smoky. I have a dog of my own, and we've met Smoky a number of times on walks around the block. What's the best way to get in touch with her and set something up?
I would be happy to help out -- anyone have any suggestions how we can best coordinate the help? marnee@thedcconcierge.biz
I live just down the street, on Quincy Place. My dog would be so delighted to have Smoky join us on our daily walks. How can we get in touch?
