Historic Preservation Special Zoning Meeting this Wednesday

    Hello, Neighbors!

I have just been informed that DC's Office of Planning (OP) will give a presentation on a special zoning historical preservation status for Bloomingdale. This presentation is a result of work done by the Bloomingdale Civic Association's Historic Preservation Committee. After a two-year study they presented the BCA with a report that offered residents three options for Historic Preservation: 1) Do nothing 2) Full Historic Preservation 3) Special Zoning.

Because most BCA members were unclear as to what Special Zoning would entail, a motion passed to have OP explain what Special Zoning would look like.

That presentation will be this Wednesday, May 3, at 7:00 pm in the basement of St. George's Episcopal Church on the corner of U and 2nd Street NW.

    Peace,

    Horacio Sierra, Ph.D.
