REID's ORCHARD: Autumn Glo and Snow Giant peaches, yellow nectarines. Plums, Pluots, Asian Pears (Hosui and Shinseiki, seedless grapes, blackberries and raspberries and lots of heirloom and popular apples:  Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold, Gold Supreme, Gala, Elstar, pin ova, Macount.  Cox Orange Pippin.  And maybe a few heirloom tomatoes.
                                                                          
TRUCKPATCH: Beans in green, purple or yellow, green and yellow squash, mesclun, arugula, spinach, collards, kale, chard, eggplant, basils, cucumber, cantaloupe and a table full of heirloom tomatoes.  Meats include all cuts of pastured pork, bacon, lard, salt pork, scrapple, chicken and turkey. Eggs.

MOUNTAIN VIEW ORGANIC: Young ginger.  Attila is one of the few farmers who grows this dificult tropical rhizome in our region.   And it is worth all the trouble.  Please try the Sweet Potato Greens They are more tender, mild and sweet than other braising greens, and high in vitamins A and K. Get them while they last!Hayman Sweet Potatoes, a Maryland heirloom.  Okra, Chard, Beans, heirloom and cherry tomatoes.  Delicata squash look like big oval bumblebees.

GARNER Lima beans, October beans, black eyed peas all shelled for you.  Sweet corn, many heirloom tomatoes,  Purslane is a citrusy, spicy salad green by itself or a counterpoint to tomatoes.  A Mexican, Greek and Middle Eastern Fave.  Dress with mint, parsley or cilantro and a lemony vinaigrette. Sweet Potatoes, Yukon Golds, Candy sweet onions, beans of all colors, peppers, Sungolds, Spaghetti squash, bok choi, water melon, cantaloupes, cukes, summer squash, eggplants.

NUMBER 1 SONS: Yi Wah and Caitlin hosted a great barbecue last Sunday.  The pork was brined in one of their pickle brines so I did the same thng yesterday with a pork chop.  Try it!  The Super Sours are back.  District Dills, Kicky Koshers, kimchis, 4 kinds of kraut and cortido.   You must grill a grilled Kimcheese sandwich with our without tomato but definitely with a good slather of kimchi.
KESWICK: Mixed Milk Camembert, Troeg washed Tallegio, the best yogurt. Maddy's Chocolate pudding, pimento cheese, real cream cheese (Quark), Fetas just waiting to be eaten in a Greek Salad, cheddar, vermeer, dragons breath and a dozen other aged raw milk cheeses.

PAINTED HAND: Naturally browsed goat, rose veal, chicken, eggs, liver bits for doggies. Sandy has it all.
PANORAMA: Baguettes and croissants. Whole Wheat, Multi grains, rye, Sourdoughs. Breakfast pastries.
