sewer back up around Flagler and Adams NW

Subject: Sewer problems in bloomingdale?

Is anyone else around Adams and Flagler NW having sewer back ups? 

          

This is the second time for us and it's a doozy. 

        

Wondering if it's connected to the pipe work. 

We had no problems last year. I had a plumber out to give me an estimate for a back water valve and he told me it was unnecessary because the sewer should not be able to back up enough to flood our house.

                              

I should add that DC water has been great about coming to fix it. They're fast, polite, and very   helpful.
