DC Water’s First Street Tunnel Project
Notice of Holiday Work: Monday, February 16th 7AM - 7PM
Dear First Street Tunnel Stakeholders,
Please be advised that DC Water’s First Street Tunnel Contractor, Skanska-Jay Dee (SKJD), will be working on President’s Day, Monday, February 16th from 7AM-7PM at all four locations in the Bloomingdale neighborhood.
We apologize in advance for any disruption you may experience as a result of work being done over the President’s Day Holiday. And we hope that you will understand that we are making this effort in order to keep as close as possible to the schedule. We believe that the benefit here is that the progress made on Monday moves us closer to that goal and the project completion in spring 2016.
While we will continue to work to minimize disturbances, it’s important to note that the contractor will sometimes need to work when winter weather allows.
