Subject: Cooling Site - Harry Thomas Senior Rec Center(1743 Lincoln Road, NE)

Dear Residents,

    Councilmember McDuffie spoke with HSEMA Director Chris Gelhart and confirmed that Harry Thomas Senior Recreation Center, located at 1743 Lincoln Road, NE, will serve as a cooling site. Both the Red Cross and Serve DC are assisting at the site as well. Residents are welcome to stay overnight, however, they will need to leave in the morning in advance of the regular recreation center activities. We will follow up when we receive a confirmed time.

As always, we ask that you please check on your neighbors, particularly those who are senior citizens. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact our office. Thank you.
