pop-up coming to 36 Channing St NW - as part of a conversion of a single-family dwelling to a three-unit building

Washington Business Journal reporter Michael Neibauer reports on DCRA building permits.  Here is a building permit for Bloomingdale of particular interest:

The dark-colored rowhouse on the right is 36 Channing Street NW, next door to 34 Channing Street NW, which already has been popped-up.

36 Channing St. NW: Single-family home will be converted into three dwelling units. Interior partitions and rear exterior wall will be removed in favor of new partitions, a rear addition and a third-floor addition.

well, I guess they will get to look at whatever gets built at McMillan Park, however ugly it is!

I have to say, the large park that's planned for the southern end will be a whole hell of a lot better than barbed-wired-topped chain-link fence that blocks off an unmaintained lot.
