Halloween on Thomas: No street closing this year

See this 09-05-2014 message from Bloomingdale resident Eva Hambach:

Dear Bloomingdale Parents and Neighbors,

                    

This is to inform you that the Thomas Street Halloween Collective has decided not to close Thomas Street NW on October 31st, 2014 for its annual Fest because of street construction, a new traffic pattern and a difficult neighborhood parking situation. To clarify: there will be no band, no street performers and no face painters on Thomas Street.

      

However, I would like to borrow 6 to 8 movie and/or slide projectors to play silent B/W movies on screens along the sidewalks of Thomas Street.

                   

If you can spare such a projector and/or if you have light projectors, please let me know ASAP at eva.hambach at afp.com.
