Undetermined Death Investigation: 200 Block Florida Avenue, Northwest

   

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating an undetermined death, which occurred in the 200 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.

   

On Sunday, November 30, 2014 at approximately 7:37 pm, Fifth District officers responded for a call for an unconscious male in the rear alley of the 200 block of Florida Avenue, NW.  Upon their arrival, they located an adult male who was unconscious and unresponsive suffering from head trauma. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the unconscious male to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

  

The decedent has been identified as a 33 year-old Robert Damien Marston of Northeast, Washington, DC.

   

The decedent’s remains have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.  A determination of the cause and manner of death is pending the results of an autopsy.

  

The investigation is continuing.
