See this message from a Bloomingdale resident:
I wanted to warn our neighbors about what happened to us. Someone stole a gift card out of my mailbox. It was inside a card my father mailed to my daughter for her birthday. Either someone at the post office took it or someone came onto my porch and stuck his hand in the slot of my locked mailbox to pilfer the card. The card was not sticking out of the box so it was not visible from the street.
We have the number of the card but I don't know if that will help in any way. I'm telling my family to send checks from now on. I'm also reporting it to the post office
