Subject: VS-CSA Construction activity
To All:
You may have seen or heard the surface activities at the VS-CSA
last night. Lucy, the Tunnel Boring Machine is passing adjacent to the
VS-CSA under First Street NW. See attached map. Out of an abundance of
caution, SKJD deployed staff and equipment, including a crane and crane
operator to the site for any unexpected contingencies. The TBM is operating on
a 24 hour schedule in this area. The crane and the drop shaft fan were
running, but no heavy construction activities were taking place. We
expect the same procedure this evening. After tonight, we should be
through the frozen ground in the area of the VS-CSA.
Once the TBM passes the VS-CSA, Lucy will head southbound
under the 2000 block of First Street NW. We hand delivered door hangers
to the 2000 block yesterday and placed the attached map on the web site showing
the approximate location of Lucy. As you know, the TBM will pass under
First Street under the 1900 block ending it’s run at the intersection of First
and Rhode Island Ave.
We are pleased to report that Lucy has passed under the 2400,
2300, 2200 and 2100 blocks of First Street NW with no problem. We expect Lucy
to complete her 2700 foot run by the end of this month.
If you have questions or concerns, please call the 24/7 FST
Hotline-(844) FST-INFO / (844) 378-4636. Thanks again for your continued
cooperation with this important project.
Sincere Regards, Tom

intersection of v and first street. It's been 15 and a half hours straight;
they wakes me up and now I can't go to sleep. do you have a permit from the
city to work after 7pm?
