Suspect Sought in a Second Degree Sexual Abuse Offense:

Unit Block of R Street, Northwest

(Washington, DC) The Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Sexual Assault Unit seeks the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a Second Degree Sexual Abuse offense that occurred in the Unit block of R Street, Northwest.

On Sunday, April 3, 2016, at approximately 2:00 am, the suspect approached the victim from behind and sexually assaulted her outside of a residence.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-45 years old, short hair, wearing jeans and a neutral colored jacket.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.  The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.

Man wanted for reportedly sexually assaulting woman in NW, DC


WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman outside of a residence in Northwest, Washington on Sunday morning.
The reported sexual assault happened Sunday at 2 a.m. in the unit block of R Street, in Northwest, D.C., Metropolitan police said.
Authorities said the victim was approached from behind and then sexually assaulted outside of a home.
The suspect is being described as a black man, between the ages of 30 and 45 and has short hair. He was wearing jeans and a neutral colored jacket at the time of the assault.
