If you're unable to text or use social media due to soreness or injury, thumb insurance can help. This new type of insurance compensates you for the cost of your mobile phone plan that's unused while you're injured. According to a recent study by the American Council of Life Insurers, the annual cost of unused mobile phone plans due to thumb injuries is $40 million dollars. Recouping that cost could be a big plus for teens and millennials who are heavy users of their mobile phones. "Thumb insurance has become one of the most popular types of insurance for my company", said Demetrius Felder of Bright Eyes Insurance.
