Summer at
Common Good City Farm has a distinct feel with a few defining
characteristics that we look forward to all year long. Each
day it becomes more difficult to see from one end of the farm to
the other as the tomatoes, okra, and cucumbers grow taller and
taller. Our weekly harvests become heavier (over
170 pounds of summer squash this week alone!). And for
6-weeks, our farm is home to a group of young folks with a budding
interest in food through our Summer
Youth Program. To
us, summer also means Community
Lunches hosted on
the farm as a part of the Summer Youth Program. The
look, the feel, and the tastes of summer are alive at Common Good
City Farm. Read below to learn how you can come on out and
enjoy it with us!

Common Good City Farm’s Summer Youth Program invites neighbors, community members, and supporters
to join us for free Community Lunches. Enjoy a tour of the
farm followed by a farm-fresh meal prepared by our youth
participants under the mentorship of a local
chef. On Friday, July 15th, our youth participants
will work with Chef Laval Sanks of So Others Might Eat, a community-based organization near our
farm.
We hope
you will join us to meet our Summer Youth Program participants and
learn more about what we do at Common Good City Farm. Space
is limited, so please register here in advance.
