Subject: Dance Place
Greetings and
salutations neighbors, I share this for your information,
Robert
+++
I contacted the Dance Place
for more info – see below:
Happy to share more
information with you! Our website here, https://www.danceplace.org/performances/artist-neighbor-collective/all/,
breaks down each day's gathering. The gatherings are free, but reservations are
required and will be available to the public starting next Monday, October
19th. We are using #danceplace40 to promote this year's programming.
Below is a short blurb
and attached is a photo that you may use to share information as well!
ANC: artist neighbor collective is one of Dance Place's Physically
Distant Commission Recipients! For this commission, ANC presents SHOW
I; a collaborative multidisciplinary immersive experience for a socially
distant world. It’s a traveling tour of performances, visual art, and joyful
collaboration that connects curators, performers, visual and performance
artists and neighbors.
Conceived by artist-neighbors in the Bloomingdale neighborhood, SHOW
I is a walk-able, drive-able, scoot-able, bike-able visual and performance
art gallery, with unique happenings at each artist’s home space. A reminder
that we are stronger when we are together, SHOW I moves its audience
through parks and alleyways, connecting the creative soul of a neighborhood to
its visitors.
Each gathering is FREE, but reservations are required. Visit danceplace.org for more
information, including our COVID-19 safety protocols.
The gatherings will be held
in Bloomingdale - the specific locations will be dispersed to those who reserve
their tickets. Each gathering day also has three different start times, so the
audience will be split into groups and will then travel between each different
location site with their small groups and a Dance Place docent.
