Epiphany Study
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Beginning Jan 6th
In Preparation Please Read Mark 1-3:1-12
Daily Reading List
This Epiphany season (January 1
- February 16) we will engage the Gospel of Mark. Mark is the
shortest of the four canonical gospels. The first chapter opens
with words from the prophet Isaiah: “See, I am sending my
messenger ahead of you,” and indeed the gospel itself serves as a
messenger for the life and ministry of Jesus. Written around
65-75 CE, Mark proclaims the good news that Jesus is the messiah
and Son of God.
Alongside the gospel readings we
will reflect on the commentaries found in A Journey with
Mark (edited by Marek P. Zabriskie). The Book is available for $20 at St. George's. We
have purchased 20 copies so please stop by and pick one up.
We welcome your presence every
Wednesday evening in Epiphany at 7p.m. as we continue on this
faith journey together.

Kwanzaa Kitchen: Janis has
been able to come up with a unique way in which we will continue
to feed the hungry in this important ministry. It involves fewer
than 6 people and we will pack the food to go and place it
outside on tables for people to take their breakfast with them.
We will continue this way until we are able to gather groups
together again.
