Meeting with DC Water this Thursday
Hello,
The
public meeting with DC Water has been confirmed for Thursday, December 13th at
7pm at DC Water's auditorium on Bryant Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets. The
purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the implementation of DC Water's
long term solution to flooding issues - the Northeast Boundary and Branch
Tunnels (NEBBT) alignment. The NEBBT alignment is part of a 13-mile system of
tunnels and diversion sewers throughout the city designed to help mitigate
flooding and reduce combined sewer overflows to Rock Creek and the Anacostia
and Potomac Rivers. In preparation for
the project, field investigation and survey work were slated to begin late last
month.
This
meeting is being co-hosted by the Bloomingdale Civic Association and ANC 5C
Commissioners Mark Mueller and James Fournier.
Best,
Teri
