Nighttime Lane Closures on Florida Avenue NW between Georgia Avenue and North Capitol Street Begin April 14, 2014
Closures, Restricted Parking for Four-Week Milling and Paving Project
(Washington D.C.) The District Department of Transportation ( DDOT) will be conducting a milling and paving operation on Florida Avenue NW, between Georgia Avenue and North Capitol Street, starting on Monday, April 14, 2014; weather permitting.
This project will require daily nighttime lane closures on Florida Avenue NW in this corridor from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., which will last approximately four weeks.
Initially, at least one lane of traffic will be maintained throughout the construction area. Access to the adjacent businesses and houses will also be maintained. Curbside parking will be restricted at this location during construction hours. “No Parking” signs will be posted 72 hours prior to the commencement of construction.
Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through the work zone. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through the work zone.
