I'm not sure why you are publishing comment after comment by this man, but don't you think you've given this one voice enough attention?
We have read his opinion. He isn't saying anything new. And, his method of writing really isn't helpful unless you are trying to incite riots or something.

I agree as well. I'd even hope for a total moratorium on McMillan comments. We've all heard enough to know where we stand on the issue. News that hearings or things like that happened is great, but if SMP types haven't already convinced me that the project is a bad idea, they're not going to, and vice versa.
Scott Roberts provides an invaluable resource for the Bloomingdale community by maintaining this blog. It seems to me that it would be a great burden for him to monitor the comments and delete comments by Daniel, or anyone else, and to delete comments on any specific topic. Personally, I think it would minimize the value of the blog.
Isn't the best solution to scroll past posts and comments that you don't want to read? I check the blog regularly, and frequently scroll past items that are of no interest to me.
I don't know whether this would pose a burden on Scott, but another idea would be to organize the blog into several discreet sections such as "McMillan," "Neighborhood businesses," "Heath and wellness" and "crime reports". This would enable readers to opt-in to what they want to read and ignore the rest. For my part, I'm sure Samsara house is run by lovely people, but I get frustrated by their very long postings.
Completely agree, Wolkoff adds little to the conversation other than trying to push buttons. BTW...google his name and you see he spends most of his day commenting on other websites like NextDoor and PP. He just drones on and on and on and on and on......
Dear Neighbors, I would not be concerned with a sincere effort to exercise "First Amendment Rights" and I think, we all must be really frightened by Visionless McMillan Patners and Deputy Mayor Miller's efforts to subvert our speech, with the Jamie Fontaine fake grass roots PR program(Create McMillan Park).
I would worry that a paid PR firm, organizing Diane Barnes, Rashida Brown, Barry Danneker and Cheryl Cort( worlds smallest coalition for "smarter growth") to fake community support, is an abuse of our tax money, probably illegal, and distorting the peoples discussion of our critical urban planning decisions.
The "Charade" Committee hearings, the hacks in the City Council put on, and call it "great weight" is also a very serious affront to the people. That is exactly why I post as often as I can,,,the people need informed consent, and McDuffie and Gray, Bowser all do not care, and it is their job, for a democracy to function! Instead a cleptocracy for the corporate giants is the problem,,, destroying the planet,, even our little share of it. You can defend the environment, fight climate change, work toward a global capitol of culture and history, if you want to , or support VMP and Trammel Crow billions.
I am not the problem,, please don't even bother, just back off. I think you should put a priority on these issues. Please think, try it, comment on my content, correct any errors, provide facts, please critique my actual perspective in my posts, other than that please leave me alone, butt out.
If you want VMP to steal our 25 acre site so much, work for it, Jamie Fontaine will list you on their slime campaign,, volunteer! Even Muriel Bowser, the corporatist mayor, said the fake grassroots signs on the lawns looked bad, and concerned her. Of course she did not a thing about it, she has a huge development conglomerate TO SERVE.
+1 to all of this. Too much of a burden on Scott, and something ill advised in the first place as part of what makes this a special resource is the openness of access. And I say this as someone who-- in terms of the current matter-- is largely pro VMP McMillan plan.
I just love these neighborhood rantings and ravings! If it's not poop, it's pop-ups, or purloined public property! How else would I know what's going on and who said what when! Thanks for posting as much as you can, Scott!
I think this shows that Wolkoff's voice largely elicits the opposite reaction he tries to achieve. His hate-filled rants, error-ridden posts and loose grasp on reality have actually done more to garner support for development. It's in our best interest to hear him out. And everyone should take note when he celebrates the untimely death of a community member as an opportunity to push his agenda.

It feels like Wolkoff should have his own blog. He probably wrote 30-40% of the comment volume on this blog in the last year (at least). Seems like someone who could support his own outlet.
And does he have a picture that's better than 32 dpi and looks like a mug shot? That might help too.
