View this email in your browser MAYOR’S AGENT UPDATE On Monday, October 6th, we presented our case to the Mayor’s Agent. Due to the complexity of the project, there was a continuation hearing scheduled for November 3rd.  That hearing will begin with testimony from those like YOU, supporters of the project in the neighborhood. Please join us and show your support by providing testimony, at 1100 4th St SW (4th Floor) at 9:30am. Contact Mike Cherry at 202-379-2819 or info@envisionmcmillan.com if you would like to testify.  Whether you can attend or not, please click here to send a brief letter to the Mayor’s Agent in support of the VMP plan for McMillan. FINAL STEP: COUNCIL APPROVAL As we’ve mentioned in the past, the final step in the approval process will be the Surplus and Disposition Hearing before the Council. This hearing will take place on Wednesday, November 12th at the Wilson Building (Pennsylvania Ave NW & 14th St NW) starting at 10am.  This is the last approval needed before work can begin on the site.  It is essential that we show the Council how strong the support is for a new McMillan Park.  We need you there with us standing by our side! ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL COMMUNITY EVENT Thank you again to our neighborhood co-hosts and everyone who attended our Happy Hour last week at the Washington Firehouse Restaurant! We had a great turnout, with many new faces eager to hear about the exciting plans that recently received zoning approval.
