FRIENDS of McMILLAN PARK

McMillan Park Photo Exhibition and Sale, This Friday, November 11th 3:30-6pm,  and Saturday, November 12th 2-6pm, at Gallery 2000, 1529 17th St. NW.
Dear Friend of McMillan Park,

This Friday, November 11th from 3:30 - 6pm, and Saturday, November 12th from 2 - 6pm, we’ll be at Gallery 2000, 1529 17th St. NW (17th St. between P and Q Streets) exhibiting our favorite photographs of McMillan Park. Through the courtesy of our host, Gallery 2000, and several photographers who have donated their work, we hope you will come by to see and perhaps take home  these lovely works for a suggested donation, a fundraiser to aid the Friends of McMillan Park legal fund.  Our legal bills, accrued in the fight to stop the demolition of our park, are mounting and every donation penny helps, while we hope for a successful decision by the D.C. Court of Appeals (likely to come out in January 2017 or so). The kind management of Gallery 2000 has invited us to show these photographs in a special afternoon event on rather short notice, but we are grateful for their interest in our photographs and our cause.

EVEN IF YOU CANNOT JOIN US FRIDAY EVENING, PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO OUR LEGAL FUND TO HELP SAVE OUR PARK, BY USING EITHER THE "DONATE" BUTTON AT THE TOP RIGHT OF THIS MESSAGE, OR OUR CROWDRISE ACCOUNT, HERE.

Please consider dropping by to look at these lovely pictures, as well as the other works available at Gallery 2000, chat with us, and consider making a purchase, profits from which go to this worthy cause. The photos are matted and protected in plastic envelopes and framing services are available from the kind folks at Gallery 2000 for those interested.

Thank you for your continued interest and support,

John Salatti, Kirby Vining, and Hugh Youngblood
