Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

(Washington, DC) - Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Fifth District:
  • On Friday, March 3, 2017, 40-year-old Alajandro Risper was arrested for a Robbery offense that occurred in the 100 block of S Street, Northwest. CCN: 17-035-915
    • On Friday, March 3, 2017, at approximately 6:34 pm, the suspect entered an establishment and demanded property from two victims who were inside. The suspect took the victims’ property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

  • On Saturday, March 4, 2017, 18-year-old Darnell James, and a 15-year-old juvenile male of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Attempt to Commit Robbery and two Armed Robbery (Gun) offenses. These offenses occurred consecutively on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at approximately 8:10 pm. CCN: 17-036-536
    • Attempt to Commit Robbery: 2100 block of Flagler Place, Northwest, the victim was approached by two suspects who attempted to take his property. No property was obtained. 
    • Armed Robbery (Gun): 2100 block of Flagler Place, Northwest, the victim was approached by two suspects and one of the suspects brandished a handgun. The suspects demanded the victim’s property. The suspects took US currency and a wallet, then fled the scene.
    • Armed Robbery (Gun): Unit block of U Street, Northwest, the victim was approached by two suspects and one of the suspects brandished a handgun. The suspects demanded the victim’s property. The suspects took a cell phone and personal property, then fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
