so ... Howard University is the winning bidder for 160 Adams St NW & 36 Channing St NW -- in the recent DHCD Vacant to Vibrant property auction

Thanks to neighbor Ethan for this DHCD announcement that advises about the winning bidders in its recent Vacant to Vibrant property auction.

Note that the winning bidder for Bloomingdale's 160 Adams Street NW and 36 Channing Street NW -- both former Hofgard houses -- is Howard University.

Hmmm.

Recall that these properties are supposed to be developed as workforce housing.

Future student housing or staff/faculty housing perhaps?

I imagine that Howard University will issue a statement with its plans for the two properties.

Howard University? What kind of track record do they have in home renovations?
