Subject: Happy Thanksgiving
|
Neighbors,
As we count our blessings and gather with loved ones, I wish you
and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. The COVID-19 pandemic
may have changed the way we traditionally come together, however I
am thankful for the way Ward 5 rallied together to serve and give
back. Through my annual Thanksgiving Turkey distribution I
was able to supply hundreds of turkeys to our seniors and residents
in need across Ward 5. I would like to thank all of the
amazing volunteers who joined us.
Have a safe and fun filled Thanksgiving.
In Service,
Kenyan

In July,
Councilmember McDuffie introduced a bill to direct $100M in
COVID-19 relief grants to DC local businesses. The mayor funded the
bill and announced the Bridge fund—$35M to restaurants, $30M to
hotels, $20M to entertainment, and $15M to retail. Hotels can apply
