A group of us are hosting a school supply rally for Washington Metropolitan High School 300 Bryant St. NW. This link will take you to a couple local events that are supporting the cause:   http://suppliesandsocials2013.eventbrite.com/ 

Darnell's Bar, at 944 Florida Ave, NW, is another collection site. There's a bin inside, where you can drop off supplies any time during the month of August. Also, some of us in the nonprofit community are meeting there for happy hour (5:30-8pm) on Thursdays, during August (and beyond? 😜)
