Backbeat Underground brings the funk to Tropicalia this Friday night, featuring freestyle rapper Flex Mathews and Bloomingdale percussionist Dave Berger. Later in the evening, another Bloomingdale resident, Congo Sanches (Thievery Corp & See I) teams up with DJ Castro to create Congo Y Castro, a World Dance Party.
Tropicalia is one of the nicest clubs in the city. Sleek, clean and modern, Tropicalia is not your typical beer hall. It's a very cool place. Check it at 14th & U, under the Subway store.
