Democratic nominee Muriel Bowser: No plan 'to hold anything up'

The long lame duck status presents an dynamic for the city’s executive and legislative branches, especially in the area of economic development. Bowser is, after all, chair of the economic development committee and will likely face a series of mega-projects through 2014, including the D.C. United stadium deal, the surplusing of the McMillan Sand Filtration Plant to private developers and a proposed hospital on the St. Elizabeths east campus.
“It’s not my position in government to hold anything up,” Bowser said Wednesday, 12 hours after Gray conceded.
