Bloomingdale residents:
You know what day it is, right?
Residents NORTH of Rhode Island Avenue NW in Bloomingdale vote at Precinct 135 at Mount Bethel Baptist Church.
Residents SOUTH of Rhode Island Avenue NW in Bloomingdale vote at Precinct 19 at Dunbar Senior High School.
The polls are open today from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
It would be great to continue to have a robust voter turnout at our two voting precincts.
Ward 5 has eighteen precincts, two of which cover Bloomingdale.
While Bloomingdale may * never * catch up to Ward 5's "power" precincts of 66 and 67, our voter turnout has steadily increased over the past twenty years.
That is, the relative ranking of voter turnout of Precincts 135 and 19 has steadily risen over the past twenty years among Ward 5's 18 precincts.
I would like to keep that momentum going.
So you are invited to vote in today's DC primary election!
