Missed an opportunity to highlight how 160 Adams has had the roof collapse, how it had several stop work orders, how the developer Insun Hofgard of JBA development is currently going through litigation with buyers from other units she flipped and sold, etc. etc. etc. Buyer beware.

Also, there's no way the houses on these few blocks are going for over a million regularly, I have no idea where the reporter got that information.

The reporter got one thing wrong in this story. The condos that are being developed from former single-family homes are selling in Bloomingdale in many cases in the $700,000 to $800,000+ range. I wouldn't say that was much different than the sales price of many of the renovated single family homes, so the argument developers make that pop-ups provide more affordable housing isn't always accurate.

Our ANC and/ BCA offered resolutions of support for Zoning Case 14-11. Perhaps they would also like to support action by DCRA to alleviate problems suffered by neighbors of some pop ups.
