Summer 2004 - The Iris have since tripled in number

Free Iris Now!

To anyone living in the Bloomingdale neighborhood, Samsara House 2023 would like to donate hundreds of purple colored Iris flowers.  I am installing an open community-based permaculture organic raised garden so the flowers need to be transplanted to a new home.

You could either stop by to pick-up some plants (limited to 4 per person), or I can arrange to have them planted at your treebox or front or backyard by Mr. Thomas, a trustworthy man who has worked on R Street NW for years and who helped plant the red Tulips that now line our street.

I would like to help Mr. Thomas find additional opportunities to make money by connecting him with neighbors in Bloomingdale who have basic gardening needs related to planting, maintaining, and clearing yards.  He is a trusted friend of Samsara House 2023 who I recommend.

The Iris' typically bloom in May just after the Tulips but they need to be planted shallow 2-3" or until they just stand up on their own.  The majority of these Iris will not bloom until next year because the soil has built-up around them.

However, there are handful that are about to bloom which can be had for a small donation.

If you are interested, please send an e-mail or text.
