FRIENDS of McMILLAN PARK

A year-end donation to the Friends of McMillan Park could benefit both you and McMillan Park!

Dear Friend of McMillan Park,

Many of us at the year's end look for a way to give that could help our community and reduce our tax burden. The Friends of McMillan Park is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit.  All donations we receive are used in our legal fight to get a better deal for our McMillan Park.  We have just won a major victory in the court, but there will likely be more challenges as we press our city to abide by the rules and regulations that SHOULD govern treatment of this astonishingly beautiful land. Court battles are not inexpensive and every penny counts.  We are an entirely volunteer organization, so we have no overhead expenses, no paid staff, and all donations go to this cause directly.

So please consider us among your year-end giving goals. We will fight as long as it takes to obtain justice and a bright future for McMillan Park. There is a "donate" button on this email, we have a Crowdrise and PayPal accounts visible on our web page, and of course checks may be sent to "Friends of McMillan Park" c/o Kirby Vining, Treasurer, 16 Franklin St., NE, Washington, DC, 20002.  For other arrangements, or to request a letter acknowledging the tax-deductible status of any donation, please send a note to the email at the bottom of the page. The city's decisions have unfortunately made the cost of democracy and justice rather high for us and for our park.

We cannot do this without you!
