want to see if Verizon FiOS is available for your Bloomingdale address?

This Verizon link has been kindly supplied by Bloomingdame.

Has availability actually changed for anyone since the announcements? Still seems to be unavailable on Adams street.

J.C. -

I have checked several addresses on the link - some come up- Fios available, others not. I talked to a tech doing an installation north of RIAve Monday afternoon who says it is available in all of Bloomingdale now, and that the link does not have all of the addresses updated yet.(I can't guarantee that, but he seemed very confident.) He said he did an installation south of RIAve last week. He said if your address does not come up Fios availble on the website, to call Verizon. He also said that not all alleys have gotten the black node boxes yet, but that they are being installed with the first home installation in those alleys.

Thanks for this. I just called and they said as of today, service isn't available at the address according to the system they have (which apparently is the same online system). I mentioned that the engineer said the neighborhood would likely all get fios - the CR said that if that's true, they're currently prioritizing customers who already have Verizon service or have previously expressed interest in Fios.

I've asked that they put in a service request with their engineering department with my address as an interested potential customer.

Verizon is working on Saturdays to install the Fios infrastructure, and Scott said he saw them working this past Sunday, too. So, I would expect they will want to get customers signed up as soon as possible to pay for this investment. :) Earlier I had been told that it would take about two weeks from the time the alley work was completed to get the office work completed. All of the alleys north of RIAve look like they have had the cable run to the pole, so it shouldn't be long. Good luck!
