New BBC Seasonal Lunch
Beginning Tuesday, 8/14/2012

Come join us for our new lunch menu at the Big Bear Cafe.

We`ve been developing our bread baking over the past few months, and we`ve decided its time for us to make a change and take over our own kitchen.

Along with our new market brunch every Sunday during the Bloomingdale Farmers Market, we`re now baking all of our own bread in-house, and trying a new lunch menu using seasonal produce, meat, poultry, and cheese we get from our local markets and local farms.

New Big Bear Lunch Menu
Starting the Week of 8/14/2012

Roasted Turkey
with peaches, fennel, green olives, and cabbage

Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder
with corn, white beans, carrots, and kale

Veg. Burger
Black rice and lima beans with small tomatoes, cucumbers, and basil

Grilled Cheese
Two Year Aged Shelburne Cheddar with Tomatoes and Purslane

Halibut Fish and Leek Salad
with Pickled Beets and Green Beans

*All items served as a sandwich or salad.

*All bread is made fresh in-house daily.

  1. Glad to see Big Bear mixing it up, but I have to say these veg. options are a little disappointing and don't set BBC apart from other restaurants (in my opinion). I'll miss the hummus/portabella sandwiches.
