WASHINGTON -
A female victim tells FOX 5 she is traumatized and "freaked out" after an assault in D.C.’s Bloomingdale neighborhood.
She does not want to be identified, but says she was walking home with her bike in the unit block of Adams Street in Northwest D.C. late Thursday around midnight when she was assaulted from behind.
A police report says the man tried to get her in a headlock and wrestled her to the ground.
The victim is so angry about the attack, she wrote about it in a neighborhood blog. She says she tried to defend herself, but the man started to jab her repeatedly with a sharp object. She screamed and he ran away. The woman got stitches on her arm at the hospital.
The suspect is still on the loose.
Some neighbors say they are shocked by the violence. Others say the area is no stranger to crime. Police are investigating a double shooting that happened around the corner on Bates and First Streets NW this past weekend.

I hope I never get that angry.
It seems to me like there have been more attacks without a robbery motive lately. I guess that's just summer?
