1 OCT - A
Day With the Amazing Tao Porchon-Lynch
Extraordinary leaders and teachers change the way we
perceive the world. The very best lead us by their example. Tao
Porchon-Lynch, master yoga teacher, 98 years-young, synthesizes the most
positive aspects of Indian, European and American thought. Tao is
uniquely equipped to spread yogic insights, originating in India to
westerners and is truly living proof of the effectiveness of a life-long
yoga practice. Tao studied with BKS Iyengar in Bombay and Pune. She has
been a member of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Center in India since 1939
and was a disciple of Swami Prabhavananda from 1952 until his death in
1976. Remarkably, Tao marched for peace with Mahatma Gandhi.
Her colorful life of glamour and grit from French Resistance fighter,
actress, fashion model, screenwriter, producer, wine judge and
championship ballroom dancer brings a unique and unparalleled experience
to her students. Tao has certified and trained hundreds of
yoga instructors, since founding the Westchester (New York) Institute of
Yoga in 1982. Tao has over 70 years of yoga practice and more than 50
years of teaching yoga to students in India, France, England, Bali, Peru,
Prague, Moscow, Toronto and throughout the U.S.
At a youthful 98, Tao brings a
delightful, childlike love of life and nature to all that she does. Her
current passion, in addition to yoga, is ballroom dancing and she is an
award winning world-class dancer. Her presence and words inspire deep
compassion and inner peace. Tao's mantra is "There is nothing you
cannot do."

7-8 OCT - Developing Spiritual Confidence:
Harnessing Your Divine Intelligence featuring Dustin DiPerna and
Bennett Crawford
With all that is going on in the world, the conflict, the
stress, suffering and rapid change, we are being called to evolve in ways
we have not imagined. With rapid advances in technology, and to having
access to various cultures, diverse worldviews, beliefs and values in the
world via the world wide web, in addition to having access to the wisdom
traditions from both east and west, we are being called to awaken and
ground into a “unity within diversity”- our true nature so that we can
discover the spiritual confidence and intelligence needed to bring us
together and bring more compassion and wisdom into the world. We are
called to discover a core truth within ourselves and discover the unique
gifts we have to offer so that we can really make a significant, positive
impact in the world.
About the Facilitators:
Dustin DiPerna earned
his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master of Liberal
Arts degree in Religion from Harvard University. Dustin began his
meditation practice in the yogic traditions. He began teaching yoga,
meditation and breath-work in 2002. In 2005, Dustin began the practice of
Mahamudra as a student of Dr. Daniel Brown. Shortly thereafter, Dustin
began the practice of Dzogchen under the guidance of the Venerable Rahob
Tulku Rinpoche.
Dustin is a visionary leader,
entrepreneur, and recognized expert in world religions. American
philosopher Ken Wilber has publicly declared that Dustin’s work
“fundamentally alters the way in which religion or spirituality can
(and should) be taught and practiced.”
Dustin has committed his life to
making timeless spiritual wisdom relevant and accessible for a rapidly
changing global society. He is author of three books - Streams of Wisdom,
Evolution's Ally, and Earth is Eden - and is co-editor of The Coming
Waves. He is founder of the publishing house Bright Alliance and co-founder
of Synergy Forum.
An avid lover of art, design and
nature, he lives in California with his wife, Amanda, and daughter, Jaya.
Bennett Crawford is a
licensed social worker who works with youth, children and families in the
Northern Virginia Area. He has been working for the Fairfax County
Community Services Board since 2009, as a mental health and substance
abuse counselor. Bennett is devoted to mindfulness and has been
practicing for over 15 years. He teaches various mindfulness skills to
youth and families at his place of work. Bennett has received training in
facilitation and coaching, and has studied many eastern and western
philosophies and practices in the field of change and transformation.
Bennett has led seminars and workshops over the years and is inspired to
share with others the gifts of deeper trust, wisdom and compassion
through the practice of mindfulness and mindful mutuality and how this
can make such a difference in the world.

21-23 OCT - Waking Down in
Mutuality Weekend Retreat with Saniel & Linda Groves-Bonder
Saniel and Linda Groves-Bonder are making
an unprecedented third East Coast appearance!
Nothing online or virtual can substitute for direct,
personal engagement with adepts and other practitioners of this path of
mutual conscious embodiment. Big hint there: it's about embodiment!
Something entirely different is given room to take place when we simply
convene our bodies in rooms together to cultivate the virtues of the
Way.
This year, our in-person regional weekend events are intensive retreats
focused on Waking Down in Mutuality.
They're sure to be tender, potent, inspiring, healing and juicy.
We will welcome as many participants as the venues can hold. We
discovered in recent events a way to replace lengthy individual
"Heart-Seats" with shorter personal sharing by everyone in the
large group during each of the four session times. It works really
well!
As always, we will have music, movement, and other experiential exercises
both days. We invite everyone to bring your art, poetry, musical
instruments, even playlists and other creative expressions. We'll welcome
these into the sessions as potent ways of embodying Waking Down in
Mutuality together!
While the retreats are open to anyone who is genuinely interested in the
work, we strongly urge you to get as current as you can with our
present-day communications in advance. The two other 2016 Waking Down in
Mutuality Explorations are great updates on the work: the Waking Down in Mutuality
Seminar and the Waking Down Recitation & Commentary course.
