DCPS Summer
Offerings and Reopen Survey

DCPS is
sharing a number of free, virtual resources available to all DCPS
families to keep your student engaged in learning while school is
not in session. You can visit the DCPS Summer Learning for All page on
Canvas to explore dedicated resources for students in grades from
Pre-K through high school. These resources are separate from
programs that require virtual summer school enrollment.
Families can download a “LEARN” card
to play a fun bingo-inspired game. Just select a student’s grade
band — Pre-K, K-2, 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12 — to get ideas for both
virtual and hands-on learning. And you can sign-up for DC Public Library's Virtual Summer Challenge
and commit to reading at least 20 minutes each day to earn prizes.
Explore even more on Canvas.
Enrollment is open for virtual summer programming for students in
grades K-12 that will begin this month. Visit dcps.dc.gov/summer to learn more
about these summer enrichment and credit-recovery programs and to
register.
Free meal service and grocery distribution will also continue
throughout the summer every weekday. Families can visit coronavirus.dc.gov/food to find
where meals are being served near you. Check back frequently as
more locations are being added weekly throughout June.
DCPS is also asking students and families to take a few minutes to
share their feedback on how our schools can reopen strong:
