Crisp Kitchen Will Bring Hot Chicken and Poutine to Bloomingdale
by Missy Frederick

A new option for the neighborhood.

This fall, Crisp Kitchen + Bar will open at 1837 1st St. NW (replacing Costa Brava). On the menu: a mix of diner food and bar fare, with options like burgers, hot chicken, poutine and homemade pickles.

They'll offer both traditional and modern cocktails all at a price of $10 or less, according to a press release. Jamie Hess, and Ivy & Coney alumn, is behind the place, and chef Alex McCoy is designing the food menu (though chef Akiem Brooker will be in the kitchen).

The two floor space promises a low-key soundtrack, food and wine, and two levels of outdoor seating.
